Abner

In the Appalachian Mountains, Abner wakes from a dream with one goal: finish his overdue essay on Alexander the Great. His editor is waiting, the blank page is calling... and the television is far more interesting.Sitcoms, movies, phone calls, wandering thoughts, and an unexpected invitation from Linda - the woman of his dreams - turn a simple writing assignment into an increasingly complicated battle for Abner's attention. When Linda invites him to the theatre in Abingdon, Virginia, Abner suddenly faces a question more important than ancient history: is this actually a date? Somewhere between dinner, the theater, and his own obsessive uncertainty, he might finally discover the answer - or at least find something worth writing about.Unconventional and distinctly Appalachian, ABNER is an experimental postmodern comedy about procrastination, romance, television, creativity, and the strange places the mind travels when there's work to be done.
