The coming-of-age novel is a classic literary category with a long history. This book first seeks to provide a systematic and comprehensive account of the coming-of-age novel, using the crisis of the coming-of-age novel as an entry point, looking back at the history of the coming-of-age novel, examining what problems lie in its construction and constant classicization, and at the same time launching a discussion of its transformation and revival.
