Ring Toss

The sign said ONE RING. ONE PRIZE. ONE COST.Marley threw the ring anyway. She woke up the next morning with perfect skin and a text from her best friend saying something was wrong with her face. The fairground game that appeared overnight behind the old garden centre gives you exactly what you want — it just takes the equivalent from someone you love. She played again. And again. Each wish moves the damage somewhere else. Her brother loses his voice. Her friend loses her confidence. The town is filling up with people who got what they wanted and can't see the bill being paid around them. There's a way to end it. One final play, one wish that closes the game for good. The stallholder will confirm the rule exists. He won't tell her what it costs. She's working it out.The Ring Toss is a psychological teen horror about want, consequence, and the specific cruelty of getting exactly what you asked for.
