In this second installment of the Reykjavik trilogy, the protagonist, Sonia, finds herself trapped once again, just after believing she had escaped the clutches of the drug lords. She's back at square one in Iceland, forced to assist the lords in smuggling operations once more. She tries again to devise a plan to escape them, as well as her friend Ajla, who is embroiled in a massive financial embezzlement scheme that has crippled Iceland's economy. But things aren't as simple as they used to be. Every time she devises an escape plan, a new obstacle arises, whether with customs officers at the airport or by becoming entangled with new gang leaders in other countries. All of this keeps her trapped in a new web of intrigue, preventing her from successfully completing her plan. Will she succeed in this latest conspiracy against her?
