Vaccination, as an effective means of preventing infectious diseases, has been widely recognized worldwide. However, among the hundreds of millions of vaccinated individuals, suspected adverse events following immunization (AEFI) may still occur. Therefore, timely detection and categorized response to AEFI are of great importance to ensuring the safety of vaccinated populations.

The book consists of 10 chapters and 42 sections. Based on years of extensive domestic and international literature and the authors' practical experience, it provides a detailed introduction to the concept, classification, causes, clinical manifestations, response and management, identification and compensation, and prevention of AEFI. It systematically analyzes the correlation between various adverse reactions and vaccination, and also offers a concise overview of AEFI surveillance data for 16 common vaccines over the past decade.
