Introduction to Amazon Parrots
The Amazon parrot family, scientifically classified within the genus Amazona, is a captivating group of medium-to-large-sized parrots native primarily to the tropical and subtropical regions of Central and South America, as well as certain Caribbean islands. With more than 30 recognized species, Amazon parrots are celebrated for their intelligence, striking plumage, and vocal abilities.
In the wild, these birds inhabit diverse environments - from dense rainforests and mangroves to semi-arid woodlands and savannas. Their adaptability is one reason they have thrived across such a wide range of habitats.
