An Unexpected Life

My Unexpected Life is the story of what God can do with a boy who was a ward of the court, raised in a children's home and entered adult life carrying fear, uncertainty, and little expectation for the future.

Yet God had other plans. He sought me out, transformed my life, called me to follow Him, and led me into purposes far beyond anything I could have imagined. From the inner city of London, then in South West London, and eventually in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Shaped not by dramatic achievements but by God's faithful hand at work through ordinary people, everyday events, and seemingly small moments, this is a testimony to His grace, guidance, and transforming power. It's a reminder that no life is beyond His reach and no future beyond His ability to redeem and reshape.

I believe Bob's story will be of particular encouragement to those who feel they are facing life at a disadvantage because of events in their early life. This book is a story of God's grace and the great advantage there is in turning to him, learning from him, listening to his fresh word and responding to it. I pray that many will find encouragement and inspiration through reading Bob's story.
