Andytown

This story begins in Belfast in early 1972 easily the most violent year of troubles as a whole. It follows the lives and deaths of the members of one particular Active Service Unit based in Andersonstown.

There are three main characters in the story, the Officer Commanding the ASU and two of the senior members of the unit. They begin with little experience, which causes a lot of fatalities they learn very quickly, that survival is no school boy game.
Surviving their first year will rely upon the ability to work as a unit they must be prepared to live and die for each other. Violence and mayhem become part of the lexicon of everyday life, so much so I can only barely fit the story of 1972 into these pages.
Assassinations, murder and killings over one of Northern Irelands most tumultuous period of modern history are told from a first person perspective in unique detail.
Several of the events in this book will go on to form part of the actual and mythical war history of 19070's Northern Ireland and one mans struggle to bring freedom to his home by any means necessary.
