Jim Axel has spent months following a trail that should never have existed.

What began with murder in Nottinghamshire exposed a network capable of modelling cities, manipulating infrastructure and predicting human behaviour.

Now the official investigation has been shut down. Axel isn't finished. Working beyond the protection of the investigation that once surrounded him, he follows the remaining evidence through Rotterdam and deeper into Europe. Every answer reveals another layer.
