Henrik knows how to win. The Norwegian biathlete has spent years dominating the world stage, where control means survival and weakness is dangerous. To the public, he is untouchable.

But that need for control started long before the cameras and podiums. Growing up with a violent father taught Henrik how quickly safety can vanish. Even now, some survival instincts are difficult to leave behind.

Julian is only beginning to figure out who he is. In his rookie season among the world's best, the German newcomer is living the dream he chased his entire life. But far away from the expectations of the small Catholic village that raised him, the questions he spent years avoiding are becoming impossible to ignore.
