Recognising the inadequacy of romantically premised relatedness, this book is part of a growing body of literature exploring the contours of what love and relatedness ''beyond romance'' might look like. Its particular contribution lies in the depth psychological perspective it brings to these discussions. As the basis for a more defensible model of love, the primary focus is upon addressing issues associated with what founder of analytical psychology Carl Jung denoted the individuation process or self-realisation.
