"Der Kampf wider den Purismus in der Sprachlehre mag so alt sein, wie der Purismus selbst", schrieb Theodor W. Adorno bereits 1974. §Und doch steht im Gros der Veröffentlichungen zum Thema der Anglizismenforschung der sprachpflegerische, sprachkonservierende Aspekt im Vordergrund. Titel wie "Wider die Engländerei in der deutschen Sprache", "Wörterbuch überflüssiger Anglizismen" oder "Denglisch - nein danke" sagen viel aus über die Ansichten, die in bisherigen Veröffentlichungen zum Thema vertreten werden; und noch im Jahr 2008 wärmte Wolf Schneider unter dem Titel "Speak German! Warum Deutsch manchmal besser ist" das Thema abermals auf. §Im Gegensatz zu den genannten Veröffentlichungen soll im vorliegenden Titel unter Zuhilfenahme sprachwissenschaftlicher Analysen die morphologische Integration englischer Verben in die deutsche Sprache untersucht werden. Das Hauptaugenmerk liegt dabei auf komplexen Verben; insbesondere wird hier untersucht, wie diese bei der Integration in die deutsche Sprache morphologisch behandelt werden, welche Besonderheiten zu beobachten sind und welche Probleme dabei auftreten können.
