Climate change and variability is a global circumstance, with impacts that are already being experienced around the world where human beings are observing and accurately changes in their local climates. Many of the most vulnerable communities, especially in Sub Saharan Africa, are already struggling to cope with the impacts of climate change. This is on the background that Sub Saharan Africa is one of the most vulnerable sub regions to climate change and variability, a situation aggravated by the interaction of the multiple stresses that occur at various levels and the agricultural systems' low adaptive capacity.
