This book explodes with a Biblical perspective about immigration. Immigrants were interviewed and their stories were told for the first time ever, in some cases. If the actual immigrant was no longer alive, family members shared their story. Weaved throughout are bits of American history with regard to immigration practices and laws. There are accounts of legal and illegal immigrants. The question of, What should Christians be doing? is answered as the trail of information leads back to Mary and Joseph with baby Jesus. "What would you do if it were your child?"
The book contains instructions for the legal immigration process and a copy of the Civics questions for the Naturalization test. Finally, a Glossary of Immigration Terms and a list of resource agencies for an immigrant. It is an excellent resource for anyone who wants to know more about immigration.
This was written as a calling to understand the immigration process from beginning to end. Understanding immigration is, however: much like standing on a lily pad.
