The apocalypse was devastating.

When a touring production of Driftwood Shores reaches its final curtain call, twenty-year-old actress Pajame steps offstage and into a world that still appears to work.

The trains run. Doors unlock. Records update. Systems confirm. People still know where they are going-mostly.

But beneath that ordinary continuity, something has begun to drift.

Places carry multiple names. Words mean different things to different people. Records are almost right. Categories overlap. Old information survives beside new information, and people quietly repair the gaps without ever realizing how much they are compensating for.

Then Pajame discovers what happens when those small inconsistencies stop being harmless.

Part speculative fiction, part philosophical road novel, and part darkly comic examination of the systems people trust without noticing, Curtin Call follows Pajame through a landscape shaped by missing context, unstable labels, incomplete records, artificial intelligence, memory, identity, and the dangerous assumption that "close enough" will always remain good enough.

Adapted from the original Curtin Call graphic novel and the larger Driftwood Shores project, this illustrated novel incorporates selected artwork from the graphic narrative while expanding Pajame's story into a standalone work of prose.

Because sometimes the system is functioning exactly as designed.

It just no longer knows what anything means.
