Spanien verfügt seit jeher über partikularrechtliche Besonderheiten im Zivilrecht, die so genannten Foralrechte. Das anwendbare spanische Recht wird durch das interregionale Recht bestimmt. Die Arbeit stellt das aktuelle interregionale Recht umfassend dar und ordnet es in den Kontext der gesamtspanischen Rechtsordnung ein. Dabei geht die Untersuchung insbesondere auf das Spannungsverhältnis zwischen den autonomen Gesetzgebern und dem spanischen Gesamtstaat ein. Neben Stellungnahmen zur spanischen Rechtslage gibt der Autor dem ausländischen Rechtsanwender konkrete Lösungsvorschläge für den Fall, dass er sich konkurrierenden spanischen Rechtsanwendungsbefehlen ausgesetzt sieht. Im Besonderen Teil konzentriert sich die Arbeit auf den traditionellen Kernbereich des interregionalen Rechts, das Ehegüter- und Erbrecht.
