Devil of Aldan

"If I grant you my power, will you be my blade? Will you slay your rivals and conquer empires in my name?"

Vallandra, an elf raised by daemon warriors, has trained her entire life for one purpose: infiltrate the elven kingdoms of Valah and destroy them from within. Every breath she's drawn has been in service of that mission.

When daemons ambush an elven expedition near Vallandra's home in the Aldan mountains, she is separated from her squad and saved by Calahan, the expedition's commander. Realizing he's found an elf who knows Aldan, Calahan asks her to guide his knights through the treacherous mountains in search of a rare plant that could heal Valah's blighted lands.

Vallandra sees something else: the perfect opportunity.

If she can earn the elves' trust, they'll unknowingly invite the catalyst of their own destruction into the heart of Valah. But the longer Vallandra travels beside them, the more dangerous her deception becomes. The elves offer her something she has never known: kinship, respect, and choice. As her bond with Calahan deepens, the line between strategy and sincerity begins to blur.

Yet the mission hasn't changed.

She still has to get into Valah.

And if the elves don't invite her home with them...

She's under orders to kill them.
