Spielt dabei die religiöse und kulturelle Identität eine Rolle? Wird die sprachlich-kulturelle Zugehörigkeit als Schicksal empfunden oder kann sie vom Individuum frei gestaltet werden? Definiert sich die mennonitisch-plautdietsche Diaspora im Globalisierungszeitalter unter Einfluss der modernen Medien neu? Beobachten wir die Entstehung einer Schriftsprache oder das Aussterben eines überholten Dialekts?
