Discovering Power

IT Executive Sheryl Simmons is successfully climbing the corporate ladder, when her company's culture takes an unexpected turn, in her opinion, for the worse. Suddenly questioning her career and her leadership, she wonders if it's possible to stand in her truth and walk with integrity when she disagrees with those above her. 

As devastating layoffs are implemented, her protégé and rising star, Keisha Smith, tells her in no uncertain terms that she should be ashamed of the leadership team and herself, and she is. Sheryl even considers whether or not she should follow Keisha right out the door. 

As she struggles to find her voice and her strength, she can't help but ask: 

• Can I keep my career and my integrity? 
• Where does my role as an executive end and my responsibility as a human being begin? 
• And how much responsibility do I have for my teams' emotions? 

Looking for support, Sheryl turns to her husband, her boss, and her colleague in Human Resources, all of whom seem to be pushing her to just "suck it up" and move on. But Sheryl isn't satisfied with that answer. She knows there must be a better solution, and she is determined to find it, even if it means quitting. 

Her search for answers will take her on a journey to the heart of who she really is. She'll be challenged to dig deep into her beliefs and try to summon the courage to honor them. Can she find her power and learn to utilize it. . .before it's too late?
