Echoed Beasts

Tormented by the death of her older brother, Sophia Gladiolus pushed herself endlessly in the pursuit of strength. She was a mercenarya warrior, but no matter how hard she trained, no matter how many battles she fought over these past twelve grueling years, she never truly felt like it was enough, that she could never surpass her brother.

In her quest for power, Sophia ventures out beyond her homeland to seek out a new master; the man who can help hone her bizarre new ability known as "The Echo." However, while traveling across the sea to her destination, she and several other passengers on this ill-fated voyage find a mysterious Cube, grossly abundant with magical energy. This discovery earns them the ire of a murderous cult known as "The Trident," and now they must fight with everything they have, and uncover the true meaning behind all of this.

But with new allies, old problems rise back to the surface. Will she be able to protect her new friends? Or will her hubris betray her as she fails to save the people she cares about yet again, just as it has done many times in the past?
