Hi! My name is Ashlyn, and I'm about to turn nine.

I live in Denver, Colorado, where the winters get really cold. I love the snow - building snowmen is one of my favorite things in the whole world. But if you asked me to pick, I'd choose the beach every single time. Warm, toasty weather. Salty waves. Swimming until my fingers get wrinkly.

My traveling started when I was about four years old, right after a trip to Las Vegas, Nevada, where my dad had a work event and brought our whole family along. My dad told me he wanted me to see the world, meet people from different cultures, learn new things, and try experiences I'd never forget - like riding a boat out on the open ocean.

Since then, my family and I have explored beautiful places like Mexico and Puerto Rico, always chasing sunshine and somewhere to swim. The sun even left its mark on me - I have freckles all over my face, and that's with plenty of sunscreen! I've learned to wear a hat and long-sleeve swimwear so I can stay out longer without getting burned.
