This book 'Gopees - The blessed maids of Lord Krishna 'is the transcreation from the book 'Bhäv Nikunji' originally written in Nepali language by my reverend Guru Kavi Prasad Gautam. I have also translated Bhäv Nikunji in Hindi and has been published by the grandchild of my Guru already. This one in English is a little more explanatory from the original book. So, I have given name 'Gopees - The blessed maids of Lord Krishna' to this transcreation. My Guru had visited Brajaland regularly for forty years and had made research of the plays of Lord Krishna, his friends Gopäls and his maid companions Gopees. He has also written a book named Shakhya Ras describing the plays of the Lord with his cowboy friends during his stay at Brajaland in his childhood age for over eleven years. I have also translated in Hind to that and have now trans created in English by the name 'The Mellow of Fellowship with Lord Krishna. Both the books are now publishing. My Guru had collected all information roaming from village to village and the forest areas as a whole inside the circumference of one hundred sixty-eight miles of Brajaland - the place of playful activities of Lord Krishna. He had spent most of the time from 1943 to 1985 during his life in Brajaland and carried out the researches there. He had collected the literatures composed by the learned poets, the sages and devotees related with the animal farmers Gopäl and Gopees including the maid companions and cowboy friends of Lord to the best possible he could collect including the other information related to activities of childhood stories of the Lord those aware popular at Brajaland also.
This book gives descriptions of the villages and the activities performed there mostly with the Gopees serially as below which is very popular in the societies of the devotees of Lord Krishna. I hope that the English readers would also be benefited to understand about the plays of the Lord which indicate significance of the divine plays with his most liked maids-the Gopees of Brajaland who are highly regarded by the people of divine search. The quoted verses of Bhägavat are from my book 'The Lord Supernal and the devotees' a transcreation of Bhägavat from the original Sanskrit texts in English.
