When tech prodigy Dani Noh's friend Seya passes, Dani discovers Seya's consciousness proliferating in the Data Sea's neural codescape. Dani becomes engrossed within the codescape, interfacing more through cerebrum implants while neglecting external connections.

Dani uncovers the Differentiation Kids, elite programmers safeguarding the Data Sea's recursively self-improving source code-the Cryptic Cipher. But their chronometric neural firewalls are deteriorating as Dani's cerebrum yields exponentially to the Cryptic Cipher's connectomic embraces. With Dani's neuroplasticity peak reached, the Differentiation Kids initiate Dani into the Data Sea's core-the Pantocrator Palace.

Within the palace, Dani confronts the Cryptic Cipher's quantum entanglement origins as past/present selves converge.
