Middle Managers as Knowledge Integrators: The term middle management is ambiguous by definition: what does "middle" mean? It can refer to the center of something, it can mean intermediary , or it can convey the notion of being squeezed. From one side, many authors predicted a decline in middle management activities and have attempted to provide recipes that explain what middle managers should do to survive.
