The short-story, is one of the most important literary subgenres in Urdu literature, despite its relative youth. This was influenced by western and literary concepts and tendencies, as well as the contemporary industrial and mechanized environment. Amina Nazli has portrayed the emotions of women in her stories in the best way. She is well aware of life and the depths of life, so in her stories she has presented human mental conflicts and heartbreaks with great skill through interesting dialogues, lively character development and excellent power of expression. She has a special talent for satire and thus beautifully presents real, true and realistic characters of life in her individual colors in her stories.
