Die Geschichte um das Rennpferd Last Loser ist eine Fiktion. Der dritte Band ist aber auch ein Zeitdokument:

Der Roman spielt in der Schweiz, in Frankreich und in Deutsch-land zur Zeit des Covid-bedingten partiellen Lockdowns.

Der Krimi deutet an, wie schwierig heute die Verbrechensbe-kämpfung für die Ermittler und Vollzugsbehörden ist, wenn es sich um eine Bande handelt, die international vernetzt ist und über viel Geld verfügt.

Und er erklärt, weshalb der Pferderennsport in der Schweiz in den letzten 50 Jahren an Bedeutung verloren hat und warum der Galopprennsport weltweit mit Problemen zu kämpfen hat.
