"I'm not like my mother..." I whispered trying to understand why they would think that I, Cassie-the heir apparent-would be mated to multiple men just like my mother.

"Are you scared of the truth, princess?" Finn asked, his eyes sliding towards Silas with amusement. "There is so much fun to be had... when you indulge in what we have to offer."

His wicked remarks sent shivers of pleasure straight to my stomach. My thighs pressed together as I tried to ignore how the smell of this man wrapped around me, fogging my mind with his dark intentions.

"I'm not my mother." I muttered, "even if fate wanted that for me... I couldn't."

"Why not?"

"...because... fate can't always be right..." I replied, confusion clouding my mind as he lifted his hand running it over the side of my face causing my breath to hitch as he leaned forward, his lips hovering just inches above mine.

"Oh, Cassie. Stop thinking, and just say yes. Let me take you to places you have only ever dreamt of."
