The book will be broken down the book into three sections to better cover material by user group. Part one begins with the basics of shell scripting. The author will test each and every shell script in three modes:/bin/ksh KORN Shell/bin/ksh93 KORN Shell version 1993 (The latest version)/bin/bash BASH Shell/bin/sh Borne ShellWhere appropriate the author will point out the differences in the programming involved to execute in the target shell. The current, original, edition is 680 pages. This edition will likely increase the page count by about 100 pages. With the web site the reader can download the bash scripts, the ksh and ksh93 scripts, of all of the scripts and functions together.
