Monster was just surviving since his wife and unborn child both died in a car accident. He had lost everything that day, and he knew that he'd never be able to replace his family-so he didn't try. He just wasn't expecting her to be hotter than hell, and that threw him for a loop. He wanted his chance with Blitz, but giving her what she was asking him for wasn't something that he could do-even if he was going to have to let her walk out of his life and take his heart with her.
Blitz knew that being in child protection services was something that she had to do. Spending her whole life in foster care made her want to fight for the other kids still left alone. When Josie's case came up, she jumped on it. Blitz knew that getting out of town might give her some time to decide what to do about her ex. He was stalking her, and there was no way that she'd stick around town to let him keep watching her or worse. Meeting two of the sexiest men she had ever laid eyes on wasn't part of the plan, but falling for them both was easier than she'd like to admit. Now, she'd have to find a way to prove that the three of them could work, or she'd have to move on because there was no way that she'd be able to go home again.
