The Nevada CCW guide written by the man who trained the trainers.

Most concealed carry books tell you how to shoot. This one tells you everything
else - the law that governs when you can, what happens after you do, and how to
carry every day without making the mistakes that end careers and cost freedom.

Nevada CCW Permit: The Complete Field Guide is the most comprehensive
Nevada-specific concealed carry reference available. Written by a retired LVMPD
Lead Firearms Trainer with 27 years of law enforcement experience, covering every
topic tested on the NvSCA Written Examination, and goes far beyond it.

What's inside:

  • All 50 NvSCA Written Exam questions with correct answers, NRS citations,
and plain-English explanations - not just answers to memorize, but reasons to
    understand

  • Complete Nevada self-defense law - NRS 200.120 justifiable homicide, the
AOJ + Preclusion framework, Castle Doctrine, bare fear, defense of others, and
    brandishing

  • Every restricted location - Nevada statutes and federal law (GFSZA,
postal property, VA facilities, airports, federal courts) in one reference

  • The aftermath of a defensive shooting - what to say to 911, what to say
to officers, what a prosecutor will dig up, and what post-incident psychology
    actually looks like

  • Structured dry-fire and live-fire training programs, including the
official NvSCA qualification course of fire

  • 7 real-world scenario discussions - parking lot confrontation, traffic
stop, road rage, home intruder, school pickup, and more

  • A complete glossary of 60+ terms and a full index of every NRS statute,
federal statute, and C.F.R. citation referenced in the book

  • Addendum for aspiring instructors - the complete LVMPD/NvSCA instructor
approval process from the first step to the Letter of Agreement

About the author:

Andrew Locher spent 27 years with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department,
including 12 years as the Department's Lead Firearms Trainer - supervising more than
350 instructors, conducting quarterly qualifications for thousands of officers,
authoring the LVMPD Firearms Instructor Manual, and evaluating officer-involved
shootings for the Use of Force Peer Review Board. Since 2014, he has served as an
NRA Law Enforcement Adjunct Instructor, training law enforcement firearms instructors
across the United States and its territories. He holds a Master of Criminal Justice
and a Master of Business Administration from UNLV, the FLETC Distinguished Weapons
Expert designation and a U.S. patent for a firearm safety device.

This is not a book written by someone who has read the statute. It was written by
someone who taught the law, investigated what happens when it is violated, and spent
three decades putting officers and citizens in a position to go home safely.

This handbook is for educational purposes only and does not constitute legal
advice. Always verify current statutes and permit requirements before carrying.
