At its heart this book is about learning to read on the guitar but really it is so much more. If your an intermediate level player and feel your rhythm isn't up to par, your understanding of how to apply the Major, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, Locrian, Major Pentatonic, Minor Pentatonic and the Blues scales to chord progressions needs improvement, your fretboard knowledge of notes is weak or your ability to read chord charts is hit or miss then this is the book for you. Each of the 10 chapters takes you through a series of exercises to improve all these crucial aspects of your guitar playing. These time tested exercises are highly targeted and with a short 1/2 hour commitment each day you can truly transform your guitar playing. As Joe Satriani says "If you are going to study, study with a jazz player." This book is the next best thing and will really improve your rhythm, time, form, fretboard knowledge, and understanding of the application of 10 different scales to chord progressions. If that is your goal then look no further. 129 Page book
