Positive Transfeminism

Trans women are not an oppressed underclass petitioning for inclusion. They are a suppressed priest class, witnesses whose double vantage, having lived under the expectations placed on men and then crossed into the expectations placed on women, makes patriarchy's foundational dishonesty impossible to sustain in their presence.

Positive Transfeminism builds this argument from the ground up across three movements.

Our History traces the priest class across six thousand years and six largely independent traditions, the galli of Rome (with roots running back to Sumer), the hijra of the Indian subcontinent, two-spirit keepers across North America, the eunuchs of Byzantium, the bissu of Sulawesi, and the muxe of Oaxaca, alongside the 1933 destruction of Magnus Hirschfeld's Institute for Sexual Science, the lost archive that explains why a movement with this much ancestry so often speaks as though it began yesterday.

Our Enemies Destroyed takes on both flanks at once: Judith Butler, Eve Sedgwick, Gayle Rubin, and Lee Edelman are answered on queer theory's own terms, and the foundational gender-critical canon - Mary Daly, Janice Raymond, Sheila Jeffreys, Germaine Greer, Kathleen Stock, and Helen Joyce, is audited book by book, argument by argument, with each writer's own methodology turned back on her conclusions.

A Positive Transfeminism builds the constructive doctrine: self-overcoming in a Nietzschean register (without Nietzsche's own gendered vocabulary), a falsifiable criterion of persistence under strain, an honest reckoning with detransition, the compounding weight of transmisogynoir and gynandromorphophobia, documented violence read as testimony rather than mere loss, function-based policy proposals for sport, prisons, and shelters, Cuban health policy as a case study in capability over tolerance, and profiles of trans women, Lynn Conway, Wendy Carlos, Martine Rothblatt, Sophie Wilson, whose double vantage changed entire fields, under persecution and free alike.

Grounded in embodied history and biosocial testimony rather than queer theory's constructionism, argued in dense, aphoristic, unapologetically Nietzschean prose, this is a foundational text for a transfeminism that does not ask permission.
