Simone Eisele (*1994) ist die aktuelle Stipendiatin der HAP-Grieshaber-Stiftung in Reutlingen. Ihre neuen installativen Arbeiten reagieren auf die vorübergehende Rückkehr in den ländlichen Raum, in dem die Künstlerin aufgewachsen ist. Dabei greift sie einzelne Motive aus der Rezeption von Jean-François Millet bei Vincent van Gogh oder Salvador Dalí auf. Sie beschäftigt sich mit Themen des einfachen Lebens, mit körperlicher Arbeit und der Nahrungsproduktion in der Landwirtschaft sowie deren industriellem Wandel. Eiseles Interesse an Populärkultur, Mythen und Bräuchen bringt sie auf einen Kurs zwischen dem flüchtigen Idyll und einer Kontrastierung des alltäglichen Lebens mit dem musealen Raum.
