Sängerin Françoise Cactus und Multiinstrumentalist Brezel Göring haben als Traumpaar der deutschen Musikszene jenseits des Mainstreams stets die Waage zwischen Albernheit und Ernst, Irrsinn und Popappeal gehalten. Als im Februar 2021 Françoise Cactus verstarb, wurde deutlich, welche Lücke die Sängerin in der deutschen Poplandschaft hinterlässt. Um der Erinnerung an die Band und an Françoise Cactus eine weitere Facette hinzuzufügen, haben wir zehn Comiczeichner:innen und Illustrator:innen gebeten, jeweils einen Song von Stereo Total in Bilder zu übersetzen. Freund:innen, Fans und Bewunderer haben in sehr persönlichen Zugängen ihren Lieblingssong aus über 25 Jahren Bandgeschichte umgesetzt. Und auch von Cactus selbst ist ein Comic im Buch - eine von ihr gezeichnete Umsetzung des Liedes »Comic Striptease Girl«. Darüber hinaus hat Brezel Göring zu jedem Song persönliche Erinnerungen an Françoise Cactus beigesteuert.
