It's the summer of 1924 and Deirdre Carlisle is not looking forward to spending it at her uncle's remote seaside hotel in Nova Scotia. It could never compare to the Paris vacation she had been expecting. Before long, though, the Nova Scotia countryside begins to weave its charm and she starts to make friends with the other guests and hotel staff.
