The inception story of the Hunter Stevens Chronicles. This is a fictional thriller e-book.

Hunter Stevens wanders the nation deploying his intelligence to break up systematic government corruption, all while living a seedy lifestyle. Eventually, he ends up in Los Angeles and comes upon a secret government installation that combats urban terrorism and high-level organized crime. The government has been tracking Hunter for a long time and desperately wants him to use his innate skills to help with their tasks. Upon setting him up for interviewing, Hunter takes the deal to become a wealthy, sanctioned assassin for the government.

While this plan for secret agent status is ongoing, Hunter meets a woman who turns into his romance and effectively changes his promiscuous lifestyle for the better. She has no idea that he's a trained killer, however.

After receiving full training by a retired military-CIA officer, Hunter is given his first operation to take out criminals at a meeting in the city. After he completes the mission, things become strange and he has a difficult time dealing with the possibility of a government setup. As he and new serious girlfriend plan to move on with their lives, the secret government organization again intervenes to task Hunter with another mission, just as he thought it was over.
