Gedichtzyklen und -bände wurden immer wieder neu zusammengestellt, und das 'Poem ohne Held' existiert in mehreren Varianten: Die Dichterin hielt ihre Texte in Bewegung. Diese Arbeit schlägt vor, die Dynamik von Achmatovas Spätwerk als ein konstitutives Merkmal ihrer Poetik zu betrachten. Mit der Poetik der bewegten Texte hat Achmatova letztlich stets den eigenen (formalen) Kanon untergraben, den die Leserschaft aus ihrer Textwelt zu bilden drohte. Auf diese Weise bewahrte sich die Dichterin in schwieriger Zeit ein Maximum an künstlerischer Freiheit bei einem Minimum an persönlicher Gefährdung. Die Metapher des 'Anderen Texts' kündigt dem Leser eine stets mögliche, andere Variante eines Texts an.
