The LightBurn Settings Handbook for Absolute Beginners

If your laser is sitting ready and your only real question is whether to run 20% power or 80%, this book was written for you.

Settings are where most beginners stall. The software makes sense eventually. What doesn't make sense is why a speed that cut clean plywood yesterday leaves scorched edges today, or why a number someone posted in a forum does nothing on your machine.

This book gives you starting presets organised by machine type, because a diode and a CO2 tube don't behave alike and shouldn't share a chart. xTool and Ortur owners get their own numbers for wood, acrylic and leather. CO2 and Ruida owners get a separate set, along with the reason air assist changes results so much on those machines.

Then it shows you how to stop depending on any chart at all. A material test grid takes ten minutes and gives you numbers that match your laser, your lens, and the specific board you bought. Every preset here is a starting point for that test, not a final answer. Any book claiming otherwise hasn't accounted for how much machines vary.
