The Love of Clouds

The Love of Clouds is a collection of cloud photographs, paintings, verses, and short reflections inspired by the art and wonder of the sky. Created by Regina Burchett and Pat Jobe, the book offers a quiet delight to anyone who cherishes clouds and finds joy in thumbing through its 58 pages. In many ways, it reflects the life's work of both authors. Jobe has been published or anthologized in nine other books, including The Best of Radio Free Bubba, The Return of Radio Free Bubba, and 365 Ways to Criticize the Preacher. Burchett's creative work spans both visual and literary realms, with her novel Friends of Orion complementing her decades of cloud-inspired art. Their friendship blossomed through the Unitarians of Lake Norman, an inclusive and welcoming congregation in Davidson, North Carolina. Exchanging cloud photos became a meaningful part of their connection-an ongoing conversation with the sky.
