The Missing Link

Some family trees have more than one kind of surprise growing on them.

Sadie Tanner never expected an email from a British TV producer to change her life-let alone one asking if she'd be willing to trace her family tree back to a national treasure. But Matthew Grace thinks she might be related to Dame Helen Armitage, one of England's most beloved actresses, and he's determined to find out.

Their correspondence starts professional. It doesn't stay that way.

By the time Sadie lands in London-sister in tow, and her father's disapproval trailing close behind-she's already told Matthew things she's never said out loud, including what it's like to grow up missing a mother she hardly got to know. The man she meets in person is barely holding it together, caught in the middle of creative differences over the direction of the show itself.
