Industrieökonomik), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Seminararbeit befasst sich mit dem Konzept der "two-sided markets" am Beispiel des Fernsehmarktes. Durch die Existenz zweier Marktseiten und einer Koordinierenden Plattform treten Netzwerkeffekte auf. Hieraus ergibt sich der Nutzen des Marktteilnehmers auf der einen Marktseite, durch die Anzahl der Teilnehmer auf der anderen Seite des Marktes. Diese Abhängigkeiten können sich positv oder negativ auswirken. Zunächst werden einige Informationen zum deutschen Fernsehmarkt geliefert, bis dann das Konzept und ein Modell des two-sided markets (von S. P. Anderson und J.J. Gabszewicz) vorgestellt wird. Der Fernsehsender wird in diesem Fall als die koordinierende Plattform angesehen, die sich 2 Nachfragergruppen gegenübersieht. Auf der einen Seite die Nachfrage nach Inhalten durch die Verbraucher, auf der anderen Seite die Nachfrage nach Werbezeit während eines TV-Programms durch Unternehmen, die von hoher Zuschauerzahl profitieren. Dabei soll aufgezeigt werden wie es möglich ist, dass Konsumenten z.T. einen Preis von Null für das Gut Fernsehen entrichten müssen (Free-TV) und die Sender dennoch gewinnmaximierend agieren.
