We Are

It's the year 1993, and photographer's assistant Anna Summers has made a promise to herself. It's not a unique one, and should be kept easily enough: Don't date a guy from work. Nothing inherently wrong with it, it's just that Anna has been burned, her self-worth taking a hit from having made one very unfortunate choice. The new fashion photographer Idols magazine has brought in happens to be male, but no matter-Anna won't be making the same mistake twice. Turns out Dylan McClintock is handsome (so what) and likeable (again, so what), not to mention taken (that point does matter). Maybe they can at least be friends. But even as she does her best to quell it, Anna's attraction to Dylan lingers and grows, particularly when given good reason to think her interest may not be altogether one-sided...
Enter-just in time-one Eric Cavanaugh, architect. He's overly handsome (hmm), overly confident (maybe), but he makes for a good distraction. At first, anyway...

We Are is a romantic debut novel about finding what you need in life, both in yourself and the people you surround yourself by. There are bumps along the way, but every life story has those. The question is, as Anna is asked by her best friend at the start of every new day:
