WORLDING

WORLDING - Selected Paintings brings together more than 100 paintings and works by Kris Santos. The collection moves between enigmatic figures, real and imagined landscapes, dreams, nightmares, abstraction and experimental mixed media.

Some images suggest recognisable beings or places; others resist easy interpretation. Figurative work sits alongside abstraction, and traditional painting meets experiments with paint and a myriad of other materials. Rather than following a single style or subject, the collection presents a varied body of work shaped by curiosity, independent exploration and a willingness to move between different visual approaches.

The title WORLDING refers to the process by which a world comes into being. Each work offers a distinct visual experience, leaving room for the viewer's own associations and interpretations.

An art book for readers interested in contemporary painting, mixed media, surreal imagery and work that does not fit neatly into one category, as well as readers familiar with Kris Santos's novels and poetry who are curious to discover another side of his creative work.
