This book is meant to provide educational information for all of those who are interested in Yurts and Gers, their history, origin, evolution, functionality, design, performance, architectural and engineering structure, and how they fit into the Eurasian Nomadic lifestyle. The book is richly and expertly illustrated by the author.

The author, Daniyar Baidaralin, works in the history museum in Qazaqstan. He is a modern scholar, who is also a direct descendant of Qazaq nomads. He is an artist, sculptor, writer, researcher, historical reconstructor and a professional architect. His main areas of interest include Eurasian Nomads, their traditional martial arts, weapons and armor, clothing, equipment, yurts and dwellings, horses and transportation.

This book is a comprehensive introduction into the little-known world of Yurts and Gers, and the Eurasian Nomadism.
