Bruce Willis stars in this sci-fi thriller directed by Terry Gilliam. In the year 2035 the world has been decimated by a deadly virus which originated in 1996. In exchange for a reduced sentence, convict James Cole (Willis) is chosen to travel back in time to trace the virus to its source. Unfortunately he returns to 1990 instead of 1996 and is committed to a mental institution where he meets Dr. Kathryn Railly (Madeleine Stowe) and patient Jeffrey Goines (Brad Pitt). As he continues to travel through time, his fate entwined with the fates of Railly and Goines, will he be able to prevent the outbreak?
