Aisling Franciosi stars in this psychological horror which combines live action and stop-motion animation. Ella Blake (Franciosi) is helping her domineering mother Suzanne (Stella Gonet) to complete her final film but she dreams of working on her own projects. When her mother dies, Ella decides to finish the film herself but then she meets a strange girl (Caoilinn Springall) who claims that the story needs work. Soon the plot shifts to follow a lost girl being stalked by a malevolent creature called the Ash Man, and the girl's next suggestion involves Ella using raw meat and animal carcasses to create her characters. As Ella continues to work on the film, she begins to lose her grip on reality and becomes lost in a nightmare of her own creation.
